FutureStarrRent a car las vegas
Overall it was a good experience, the back hatch on the GMC Yukon had an intermittent latching issue that resulted in us loosing a bag with $350 worth of merchandise out of the back of the SUV on Las Vegas Blvd, which we never got back! Once we figured out the quirk with the hatch everything went well and it was a good experience. Their Vegas office hours are nonsense, 8 am to 4 pm. This does not accommodate long road trips and travel schedules! Also the car was only about 7/8 filled when I received it, despite being marked as full. I needed to get on the road and therefore didn't say anything--alas.
Having to take 2 shuttles to get to the car was very inconvenient. They are not parked with the other rental vehicles so you have to take a second shuttle to get to them. Our agent was very rude and kept trying to add on extra insurance to our plan. She kept telling us how responsible we were for any damage. She was very pushy and not somebody I would deal with again. I walked away from there wishing I had not even come to Vegas. Never again! To get to the rental in Vegas you need two transit buses, which took us over 30 minutes from the airport. The place itself is worn down and the car had already driven 70,000 miles, with the dings and scratches that come with that age. If you're looking for a cheap option it might be the way to go but I'll go for another agency next time.
When reached for car pickup, I was told, car is not available and they cancelled my reservation. Requested to arrange for pickup from different location, they refused, told me can not be done. I was asked to book again from different location at the current rates, did not offered me same promotional offer. Same thing happened with other tourists also. No help was offered. Lost promotional offers, I have to paid for two different taxi rides, lost my precious half day of my vacation. Finally hired from DOLLAR RENT A CAR and continued with my trip. I recommend not to use Hertz rental Car located at Hertz Corporation Las Vegas, NV 1815 E. Sahara Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89104.Booked a one-way from a non-airport location in Las Vegas. Hertz location called me 30 mins prior to pick up to indicate that my $150 rental reservation from two weeks prior was not available/overbooked/waitlist, that one-way rentals were not available from that location nor any other non-airport location in LV, and that I needed to re-book at the airport. Price was $700. I asked the local agency who is supposed to pay the difference. She said I was. Complete indifference and lack of concern for reservations, customers, and responsibility.
