Eventually, she ends up apologizing to Eric. She admits her behavior, including the fact that she's accepting of his abuse. She then asks Eric to stop communicating with her via social media. He doesn't listen to her, but he does change his name to Eric and makes plans for the weekend.

After Eric leaves the hotel, Kathryn finds the hickey and notices that Claire is wearing it. She's not happy about it, but she's happy that she's finally getting some help.
